Who Am I?

My name is Vicki Wootton, welcome to my new blog - I also run another one at http://youngandwasted99.blogspot.co.uk/, but Me, My Skin and I is intended to be a little bit more skin specific.

Almost from birth I have suffered with Eczema and at the age of 28 it is now starting to look like this wonderfully beautiful ( sense the sarcasm here) skin condition is probably going to be a part of me forever more, much like my love for cheesy pop music and the birth mark on my left boob that everyone always points out asking; 'Is that a love bite?'

Anyone who lives with Eczema knows that it is a daily battle not only to stop the itch, scratch, itch cycle, but also to get out of the house with your confidence intact and the nasty red, flaky stuff covered up as best as possible.

Me, My Skin and I will feature a range of the best products to use to keep your skin under control and to cover it up when you have to face the world. We all know that during the worst flare ups, makeup should be avoided like the plague, but when you have a customer facing job like mine then sometimes that's just not possible .....unless of course you hide yourself away beneath the scenes like The Phantom of The Opera, swathed in a hideous mask! And quite frankly why should you? Life is for living!

Alongside the best skin care and makeup to use, visitors to this blog will also find nail art demo's for short nails. The trouble with the itch, scratch, itch cycle is that nails have to be kept short to minimise damage. Most nail art only works on long nails, but there are designs out there for us stumpy fingers too! (Just take care to remove nail varnish once it has chipped as flakes can aggravate the skin).

The blog will also feature recipes using food hailed good for the skin - think fish, fruit and veg - because I like nothing more than to eat and if I can combine my favourite hobby with healthy skin then happy days!

Happy reading folks!

This is me....hello!
